Keeping Your Inner Peace During the Holiday Season

Oh the joy of the holidays! As most of us didn't get to spend in-person time with loved ones during last year's pandemic, this year seems to be extra special, Are you mentally prepared for the festivities and the chores that come along?

Keeping peace with your house guests

If you have out of town guests staying with you, it may get overwhelming at times. On a temporary basis, we have to get used to one another's live style in a short period of time. Adjustments range from where to keep our clothes and belongings (is keeping them freely lying around on the floor acceptable to you and your guest?), to food preference (you are a balanced eater while your guest is a devoted carnivore). Remind yourself that this is only temporary, good or bad. You don't get to spend time with one another every day so make the most of it while you can.

  • Don't give yourself pressure by telling yourself you have be on your best behavior at all times.

  • Give one another some space. You don't have to do everything together.

  • Picking dinner can be tricky. Assign a person to have the final tie breaker for the day.

  • Some things don't change over time. If it is bad, don't expect it to get better. If it is good, enjoy the moment while it lasts.

  • Straighten up your house with azendea's 3-in-1 spray:
