"Like lemon myrtle, it can be used to treat acne, menopause, and other facial and skin irritations. Geranium can also prevent swelling, and pain."

Geranium is a shrub that can grow in many different ways. From growing in sunlight to shade, with flower colors ranging from pink, blue, white, and purple. Most will bloom around spring and fall and can grow from 6 inches to 4 feet tall. Geranium is the most typical name for the plant but it’s properly referred to as Pelargonium, its botanical name. Geranium is commonly used for planting; however, it is also used for aromatherapeutic uses such as relieving sore throat, anxiety, depression and stress. Like lemon myrtle, it can be used to treat acne, menopause, and other facial and skin irritations. Geranium can also prevent swelling and pain.

Geraniums can be grown by using well-drained soil. Geraniums like fertile. Let the soil go slightly dry. Don’t over fertilize it. Use 20-20-20 fertilizer on them three times during its growing season which is around spring and fall. Water them thoroughly, let the soil dry between watering. Be sure to water them regularly when it doesn’t rain. Leaves can wither and die from many different reasons, mostly because of fungal disease from excess moisture and humidity. By deadheading them (removing flowers that are faded) your geraniums will be in good condition.

"When young, the geranium will smell citrus. When it ages, it will give of a strong rose fragrance."
