A Good Office Companion - Azendea’s Tension Relief Roller

A typical work day wears me out

First, I must confess. I don't keep a good posture when it comes to sitting down working at my desk. During a typical workday, many email messages are created, replied, or forwarded. Documents are written. While typing away on my computer, occasionally I also answer phone calls using my shoulder to hold on to the receiver. By the afternoon, my wrists are tired from typing. My fingers are tingling. My shoulders are tensed up. My neck is stiff. My back is sore. Life is miserable.

Azendea comes to the rescue

I use the roller in a circular motion to massage onto my wrists, back of the neck, and my shoulders. For additional relief, I apply ice on the area first before I put on the oil. Not only does it relieve the tension, it also has a calming and refreshing scent that lifts me up. Sometimes I just open the bottle and take a few deep breaths to de-stress.

So what’s in the roller?

Azendea’s Tension Relief is a blend of top quality oil. It is a blend of 100% natural, pure therapeutic grade oil useful for stress and pain relief. Take a closer look:

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)

Lavender is an excellent oil for pain, inflammation, rheumatic problems, and headaches related to stress and tension. Its soothing and antispasmodic effects can ease tight muscles and tension headaches. It also has a calming and relaxing effect.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)

Rosemary has a reputation for increasing circulation. It is added to the blend for this purpose. Rosemary can counteract symptoms of stress, such as depression and fatigue. It is anti-inflammatory, and it is very effective for painful muscles and joints.

Peppermint (Mentha x piperita)

Peppermint is known to increase circulation to the areas of application. It creates a cooling and numbing sensation on the skin when low concentrations are applied. Peppermint is useful for local applications for pain relief.

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)

Similar to peppermint, lemongrass also has a cooling effect. Its anti-inflammatory property reduces heat while alleviates inflammation. Lemongrass is also uplifting and relaxing. It is added to the blend to calm the mind and reduce agitation.

Grapeseed Oil (Vitis vinifera)

While lavender oil can be apply neat (without dilution) to the skin, the rest of the oil needs a carrier oil for safe skin absorption. Grapeseed oil is selected because of its natural non-allergenic properties. it absorbs well for all skin types and does not leave a greasy sensation.

A New Year, an improved me in the making

One of my New Year resolutions is to pay more attention to my own wellness. I need to stretch more often, and remember to get up from my chair once in a while. Regardless of the progress I will make, I will always have a bottle of Azendea’s Tension Relief Blend on my desk – it is a good office companion to have!
