So many serums out there with promise of youth, but in the end, what are they good for?
Let’s begin with what a serum is. Facial serums are jam-packed with all the antioxidants, vitamins, and moisture that most moisturizers have no room for in their formulas.
Unlike moisturizers which act as barriers to protect the skin from the harshness of everyday life,
serums soak into the skin to replenish and hydrate. For those with an oily complexion, a light water-based serum is best. Those with a dry complexion would benefit from a rich plant oil base.
When is it best to apply and how? The best time is at night to really let the serum hydrate and replenish the skin cells from the hustle and bustle during the day. Right after you wash your face and pat dry, apply a small drop of serum to the palm of your hand and slowly warm it up. Apply by patting the serum onto your face ,starting from the center of your face and massage
outwards for best result. Always remember: more doesn’t mean better - serums can irritate if
over applied. Use as instructed and enjoy the results.
